The time has come to enter the world of Justin Slee Photography. This is my first attempt at a blog entry and I must confess my attempt to get my head around the background software of my new website. Please be patient with me and also understand one thing, spelling and grammar are not my number one strengths. I will however attempt to share my work and thoughts on this page and hopefully as Robbie Williams sang “entertain you”
Just to give you some background information, I have been working as an editorial and commercial photographer for over 23 years, yes I did start work very young. I have been fortunate to travel and work all over the world and have had the privilege of sharing some time with a whole range of personalities ranging from Prime Ministers to Rock Stars. During this time I have come to understand I have a very lucky life and I love to photograph and meet people with the bonus of making a humble living. Along with my family, photography is my life and I am as enthusiastic about the subject from the day I found the photography section in the library at Hallam University in Sheffield. Hopefully with the help of this site I can share some of my work and thoughts and share some of my experiences.
As a visual person I also get bored of too much text on these sites so I will shut up for now and share some of my recent personal photographs. The following shots were taken on a FujiFilm X100, a great compact fixed lens camera. I did spend my first few years working in the editorial photography and have always loved the documentary world of photography. This camera is great for wandering around and capturing anything that takes my eye. It is small very, very quiet and captures great detail. The images were taken during a few days holiday in Sharm el-Sheikh. I did go with the intentions of doing very little but I could not resist a half hour photography stroll.
Please take advantage of my share links and take time to visit back soon as I will be adding new photography content to my website.
