Last month felt like a blast from the past as I visited Thorpe Arch training ground near Wetherby. I was there to photograph the talented Leeds United young player Sam Byram.

I used to visit the training ground 2/3 times a week when Leeds United graced the premiership. Sadly, I have not been there for a while but totally enjoyed my return and meeting Sam. Sam was a true pro he was punctual, polite, amenable and more than happy to promote the “Made in Leeds” t-shirt.

Here are some of my favourite images and there was even a bonus as I ended up featuring next to Sam in edition 07 of The City Talking which is out now and is totally free so grab a copy.

I think Sam might have a career as a model, although I see they used my good side in the photograph.
